Terms of Service

1. Acceptance of these terms

By creating an account or using the Chuger API, dashboard, or MCP server (the "Service"), you agree to these Terms of Service. If you use the Service on behalf of an organization, you represent that you have authority to bind that organization.

2. The Service

Chuger provides a unified web data API: raw scraping, content extraction, search results, site mapping, and LLM answers grounded in live web content. Consumption is measured in credits; each endpoint has a published credit cost and only successful (2xx) responses draw from your allowance.

3. Accounts and API keys

You are responsible for safeguarding your API tokens and for all activity under your account. Tokens are scoped per account and can be revoked at any time from the dashboard. Notify us promptly at [email protected] if you believe a token has been compromised.

4. Acceptable use

The Service only ingests publicly accessible content and respects robots.txt by default. You may not use the Service to access authenticated, gated, or paywalled content; to collect personal data unlawfully; to violate a target site’s terms where applicable law gives those terms effect; or to build a service that resells raw Chuger access without added value. Requests targeting such content are your responsibility.

We may suspend accounts engaged in abuse, including attempts to circumvent rate limits, credit accounting, or anti-bot protections of the Service itself.

5. Billing, credits, and merchant of record

Paid plans are billed on a monthly or yearly cadence. All payments are processed by Polar Software, Inc. ("Polar"), acting as merchant of record. Polar handles payment collection, applicable tax and VAT, invoicing, and payment data — Chuger never stores your card details. Your purchase is also subject to Polar’s own terms.

Plan credits reset with each allowance period and unused credits do not roll over. Upgrades take effect immediately; downgrades are scheduled for the next billing period. Credit costs per endpoint are global and published on the pricing page.

6. Cancellation

You can cancel any plan at any time from the billing settings or the Polar customer portal. Cancellation takes effect at the end of the current billing period; you keep full access until then. See the Refund policy for refund handling.

7. Intellectual property

Chuger and its underlying software remain our property. You own your account data and the outputs you retrieve through the Service, subject to any rights of the underlying content owners. You are responsible for ensuring your use of retrieved content complies with applicable law.

8. Disclaimers and limitation of liability

The Service is provided "as is". We do not warrant that any particular target site can be retrieved, that upstream providers are uninterrupted, or that extracted content is accurate or fit for a particular purpose. To the maximum extent permitted by law, our aggregate liability arising out of the Service is limited to the amounts you paid for the Service in the twelve months preceding the claim.

9. Changes

We may update these terms; material changes will be announced via the dashboard or email before they take effect. Continued use after the effective date constitutes acceptance.
